Pet Allergies and Your HVAC Systems

Over time our Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems (HVAC) collect and build up pet hair and dander. IF you are an allergy sufferer than you are all too familiar with the sneezing, coughing, stuffy nose, watery eyes, etc. type symptoms.

What is Pet Dander?

Pet dander is not animal hair. It is the tiny bits of skin flakes produced by every animal. This is what most people are allergic to.


Along with regular bathing and brushing of dear sweet Fluffy you should also be having your furnace and air ducts cleaned and your filter in the furnace replaced regularly. It is recommended to have your HVAC System cleaned every 2 – 3 years to ensure proper air filtration and clean indoor air quality.
