Before launching Modern PURAIR Edmonton, I worked as a buyer in the oil and gas industry. While I appreciated the experience, I was ready for a new chapter – one that allowed me to create something meaningful and give back in a hands-on way.
What I enjoy most about this work is knowing that we’re helping people breathe cleaner, healthier air. When a customer tells me their home feels fresher or their allergies have improved, it reminds me why this work matters. It’s a great feeling to know we’re making a real difference in people’s lives.

Common signs include visible dust buildup in vents, reduced airflow, higher energy costs, respiratory issues, persistent odors, or concerns about indoor air quality. Pet dander, pollen, mold, dirt, and other contaminants trapped in ducts and ductwork can negatively impact system performance. Recent construction or renovations can also warrant duct cleaning. Modern PURAIR West Edmonton provides professional air duct cleaning West Edmonton homes and businesses can count on, and it is owned and operated by franchise owner Juan Asumu. We offer duct cleaning for the house, furnace ducts, ventilation systems, and dryer vents across West Edmonton and the surrounding area, with certified technicians, upfront pricing, and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. We take pride in treating every customer with a friendly, courteous, punctual service, and we explain the work and answer your questions before we start.
Edmonton has long, cold winters, so your furnace runs hard for much of the year, and dust and debris move through your air ducts every time it does. West Edmonton has older neighbourhoods like Jasper Place, built in the 1950s and 1960s, and newer ones like Lewis Estates and Cameron Heights, and every home has its own mix of dust, pet hair, and construction debris. Clean ducts support indoor air quality and fresh air in the house, and they can reduce allergens for family members with allergies. After major renovations or water damage, ducts should be cleaned, and in homes that have had construction, several pounds of debris can come out of the ductwork.
Visible dust buildup around the vents, or dust that returns soon after you clean
Reduced airflow, or rooms that are warmer or cooler than the rest of the house
Persistent or musty odours when the furnace runs
Allergies or respiratory problems that seem worse indoors
Recent renovations that left drywall dust or other debris in the system
Water damage, which can leave moisture in the ductwork
Regular cleaning every 2 to 3 years is recommended, and homes with severe allergies may benefit from cleaning every 1 to 2 years. Duct cleaning isn’t needed every year, and the right schedule depends on your house, pets, and health.
We start with a walkthrough and a simple, all-inclusive price before any work begins. Depending on the system, a technician may cut a small access opening above the furnace to reach the main duct, then use long cleaning lines and agitation tools to loosen debris while a powerful vacuum pulls it out of the system. Our PUR CURx contact cleaning system scrubs all four sides of the ductwork, and we clean the furnace components and vents as part of the job. We show you what came out of your system, and you can ask to see photos.
Dryer vent cleaning prevents lint buildup and improves dryer efficiency, and it is one of the simplest ways to protect your home. Dryer fires are more common than chimney fires, so safety is the main reason to clean your vent. If your clothes take longer than one cycle to dry, the vent may be blocked.
For West Edmonton houses, townhomes, condos, and apartments, we provide air duct cleaning, furnace cleaning, AC and furnace cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, indoor air quality testing, and air purification. Our technicians treat your home with care and leave the area clean.
For commercial projects, we provide commercial air duct cleaning with medical-grade HEPA equipment, commercial dryer vent cleaning, coil cleaning, and a filter maintenance program for offices, schools, restaurants, and other commercial customers. Request a free quote, and we will scope your building and the level of service you need.
Cost depends on the size of the house and the number of vents. Our technician walks through your home first and gives you a simple, all-inclusive price before the job begins, with no hidden fees. For commercial projects, request a free quote.
Every 2 to 3 years is recommended, and sooner after renovations or water damage. Homes with severe allergies may benefit from cleaning every 1 to 2 years.
Our friendly, uniformed team calls you before arriving, walks through your home, and explains the work. Whether you book a morning or afternoon appointment, we aim to be punctual and to keep the work clean and efficient.
Yes. Dryer vent cleaning prevents lint buildup and improves dryer efficiency, and we clean vents for homes and commercial buildings.
