As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, I’ve always appreciated the feeling of breathing fresh, clean air. But the reality is—we spend most of our time indoors. And indoor air quality? It’s often overlooked, even though it affects how we feel, think, and perform every single day.
As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, I’ve always appreciated the feeling of breathing fresh, clean air. But the reality is—we spend most of our time indoors. And indoor air quality? It’s often overlooked, even though it affects how we feel, think, and perform every single day.
Before starting Modern PURAIR Fraser Valley, I spent over two decades building and leading businesses across North America and beyond. I’ve held senior leadership roles at companies like American Express and 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, and was honoured to be recognized with a Business in Vancouver “40 Under 40” award. But with all that experience, I knew I wanted to build something that blended business excellence with real impact.
That’s why I launched this franchise—because air quality is more than just a comfort issue. It’s about health, productivity, safety, and peace of mind. Whether it’s helping a business reduce airborne contaminants or clearing out a dangerous dryer vent in someone’s home, I love knowing we’re creating cleaner, safer spaces for people to live and work in.
What sets us apart? It’s not just the thorough, professional service—it’s the experience. We aim to deliver more than just clean air. We create a moment in someone’s day that feels seamless, easy, and even memorable.
Here’s what you can expect when working with us:
✔️ We show up on time.
✔️ Our pricing is upfront—no surprises.
✔️ We leave your space spotless.
✔️ And our passionate, enthusiastic techs will leave you smiling.
Outside of work, I’m a proud dad of three and an all-around adventure enthusiast. I’m currently training to set a Guinness World Record—my next attempt? The world’s tallest toilet paper roll tower. Previously, I ran a full marathon wearing 81 T-shirts—yes, all at once.
Whether it’s in business, family life, or helping people breathe a little easier, I believe in doing things with purpose, passion, and just the right amount of fun.

Indoor air can be 2 to 5 times more polluted than outdoor air, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which has also ranked indoor air pollution among the top environmental risks to public health. The Fraser Valley has wet, mild winters, so your heating system runs hard for months, and a home’s air can pass through the duct system several times a day. Over time, dust, pet dander, mould spores, and other particles collect in the duct work, and professional air duct cleaning supports improved air quality and clean air for your whole house. Cleaning can also help clear trapped dust and allergens that trigger allergies and respiratory problems for sensitive family members.
The duct cleaning process starts with a visual inspection of the entire system, including the supply and return ducts, vents, and furnace. Large particle removal comes first, then the fine dust. Many professional crews use agitation tools, and some add compressed air or high pressure air to loosen debris, followed by a powerful vacuum that pulls it out of the system. Our PUR CURx contact cleaning system scrubs all four sides of the duct work, using specialized equipment, and we show you exactly what we took out. Flex duct and metal duct work both need careful handling, so a professional crew cleans each type with the right tools.
Regular cleaning every 2 to 3 years is recommended, and air ducts should be cleaned after home renovations to remove debris. Professional air duct cleaning improves indoor air quality and comfort, and it supports improved system performance, since a clean duct system lets your heating and air conditioning move air efficiently.
Along with your ducts, we offer professional furnace cleaning and furnace cleaning services for the entire system. Dust, dirt, and other debris collect on the blower and other components of your HVAC equipment, and a dirty blower fan can cause the motor to overheat. Regular cleaning improves HVAC efficiency and energy efficiency, which can lower your energy bills and utility costs, and preventative maintenance reduces the risk of unexpected breakdowns. Routine cleanings also help extend the lifespan of the furnace, and a dirty furnace can lead to fire risks during operation.
Cleaning is not a substitute for a safety inspection. Gas furnaces should be inspected and serviced by a licensed technician every year, and testing your carbon monoxide detectors is critical, since carbon monoxide leaks can’t be seen or smelled. Clear the area around your furnace and keep vents unobstructed to maintain furnace efficiency, and check or replace your filters every 1 to 3 months, since frequent filter changes are necessary to maintain proper airflow.
Lint buildup in a dryer vent is a genuine fire hazard, and regular dryer vent cleaning is essential for safety and efficiency. If your clothes take longer than one cycle to dry, the vent may be clogged. A clean vent also improves appliance efficiency and reduces energy costs. We clean dryer vents for houses, apartments, and commercial buildings.
For Fraser Valley homes, townhomes, condos, and apartments, we offer air duct cleaning, furnace and duct cleaning, AC and furnace cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, indoor air quality testing, whole house air purification, and an HVAC filter maintenance program. These HVAC cleaning services help your family keep breathing fresh, clean air at home.
For business owners and commercial clients, we provide commercial air duct cleaning with medical-grade HEPA equipment, commercial dryer vent cleaning, coil cleaning, and filter maintenance. We serve offices, restaurants, schools, warehouses, and other commercial facilities, and property managers can rely on us for full-system service.
Cost depends on home size and the number of vents. Our technician walks through your home first and gives you a simple, all-inclusive price before the job begins, with no hidden fees.
Regular cleaning every 2 to 3 years is recommended, and sooner after renovations, pest activity, or visible mould. A licensed technician should inspect gas furnaces every year.
No. Cleaning is not a replacement for a safety inspection. Have a licensed gas technician inspect your furnace every year and test your carbon monoxide detectors regularly.
Yes. Every job is backed by our 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
Yes. We clean dryer vents for homes and commercial buildings, since lint buildup is a fire hazard.
